Yes! Electrolysis is perfectly safe during the Summertime. However, you should take extra care to protect your skin. After electrolysis, the treated area is more open & slightly irritated. You should avoid the sun for at least 24 hours after treatment. It is also important to apply a good quality sunscreen immediately after the treatment session and until the complete healing of the skin. Your best bet is a broad-spectrum sunscreen that will protect you from UVA and UVB rays. Also, it is wise to choose a sunscreen that contains vitamins such as vitamin E and C. Vitamin C helps protect the skin from sunburn & Vitamin E can protect against UV-induced DNA damage.
