ZENSA - Topical anaesthetic with 5% lidocaine

There are a variety of products you can use in conjunction with electrolysis to make your sessions more comfortable. Aside from ensuring you are well-hydrated, eating before your session and possibly even taking a pain-killer like Advil or Tylenol beforehand, we offer some recommended creams and lotions that compliment your treatments. Here is one:

ZENSA:

Zensa is a topical anaesthetic formulated with 5% lidocaine that you can apply to your skin before your appointment. It lasts for 2-3 hours and can be safely reapplied to extend the numbing sensation if you have any discomfort during or after your treatment. Its pH formulation is safe to use on the most sensitive of areas like the upper lip or bikini area. Zensa is formulated with Vitamin E, which acts as an anti-inflammatory to boost the healing process. And, for an added bonus, Zensa is a steroid-free vegan product!

Zensa is easy to use — just apply a thin layer on clean skin and cover the area to seal it in. This can be a bit tricky depending on where you’re getting your treatment done, but cling wrap and medical tape do the trick nicely. Apply it 20-30 minutes before your hair removal appointment for best results.

CLIENT REVIEW:

“Zensa has made electrolysis on my sensitive upper and lower lip tolerable. Without it, I don’t think I would have been able to proceed. It doesn’t take the sensation completely away, however there are some areas that seem to completely freeze. I’ve found I have best result applying it 45 minutes before treatment, and covering it with Tegaderm, a transparent dressing. It is absolutely worth the cost. I’ve tried a more expensive prescription compound; in fact, I tried them both on the same day, opposite sides, and found they had comparable effects! If you’re looking for a numbing cream to help you feel more comfortable during your treatments, I absolutely recommend you try Zensa.” - Pam M.
